It's time to drive...

Just got a call from the truck driver, Mike, who has spent his weekend and the first part of this week driving MY car from California to Massachusetts where the 1997 Nissan Sentra will become "OUR" car. Hooray!

At the moment Ryan is scrambling at the HDS office to find directions to the Starmarket by our house. The driver called me from the road (well, really he was having dinner) and he wanted to know how to get from Canton to Cambridge. I don't have a car so I wasn't much help. He also reminded me that we needed to pay him $775 in cash.

CRAP!! I have to collect $775 in cash in the next hour. We have the funds, just not in cash. Well, not sitting in my sock drawer.

Anyhow..here are some pics of what will soon be parked at Holden Green:

Our car is silver (this one looks white)
and here is the interior view:

Notice that there is no CD player...sigh. WE've got the good old fashioned Tape deck and radio. Sweet! We'll start looking into iPods pretty soon I'm sure. Ryan couldn't live without "real" music of his own choice.

But back to the pressure of this moment. Honestly, I feel like Jack Bauer in the TV show "24" ...coordinating people remotely, carrying around large sums of money, stressed out but also calm and authoritative. The only thing I'm missing is a cell phone and access to satelite images. I'm just glad my wife and daughter haven't been kidnapped. That would really stink. Oh wait - I have Ryan, and no wife/daughter combo. Well - it IS Massachusetts so it COULD be possible.

Now...off to the ATM to take out the maximum amount of moolah.

yahooo!!!

You guys. I can't believe you've been home, like, probably a whole day now and haven't posted anything about this weekend's festivities. For heaven's sake.

You have been officially greeted on my xanga, however. Just so you know.

It was so much fun to meet/hang out with you guys this weekend. I liked it.

YEAH...you guys can take as many roadtrips outside of Boston as you want, and as frequently too!! Congrats on the car!! I tried calling you the other day, but afterwards realized that you were probably out of town now that you have wheels! :)
