We made it to our new place in Mishawaka, IN with only a few bumps and bruises. Our families are very curious to see our apartment here, so I took a few snapshots to tide you over until I can put up a "real" post about the adventures of driving to Indiana.
The living room - before we got new lamps. I just love a deal and when I saw a new lamp combo at Kmart for only $12.00 I decided to buy new lamps instead of continuing the dead-end search for new lamp shades. No art on the walls just yet and not because we lack things to hang on the walls....just waiting until we are more settled.

The new floor lamp....see the boxes behind it? Those still aren't unpacked.

The kitchen with cute b&w flooring. That is about the only bit of "charm" in the new apartment. But I think I'll take space over charm. 435 square feet of charm in Cambridge is more difficult than 926 square feet of bland standard apartment in Mishawaka. And a heck of a lot cheaper. While our kitchen would appear to be bigger than the old one, it actually doesn't offer any more cupboard space. AND we only have TWO drawers!

The pond behind our apartment. We can't BBQ on the balcony, but at least we can see water!

With the water comes some interesting neighbors who are clearly not toilet trained as evidenced by the sidewalk which stopped me in my tracks while taking photos of the property.

The neighbors who made the mess are also kind of noisy, but at least they will only be here for a season. I think their lease ends right as winter starts....they're genuine "snow birds" I guess.

And lastly, the pool & hot tub. Which I still haven't used! Guess we better get our towels and sunscreen. If you don't see another blog post for a while, you'll know where to find us!
