Multi-tasking

This week some old friends were in town, who are moving back to Cambridge after being away for 3+ years. It was an important goal of mine to make sure that they reconnected with old friends who are still living in the area, and to meet some new friends too. And maybe some friends who will help with child care on occasion once J. has her baby!

What better venue than the weekly meeting of friends who gather in Roslindale to watch LOST on TV together?
Here are my old friends (J & P on the right, meeting a new awesome friend, TG who is also our gracious host each week for LOST)

Little did we know that there would be even MORE multi-tasking than just connecting friends and watching TV. Enter MFG, a woman who knows how to multi-task AND have fun.

MFG is my old roommate and great friend. She needed some extra help with a mailing project for work, so we all pitched in, putting addresses and stamps on envelopes. MFG works for the Bolivian Street Children Project that helps homeless children get off the streets of La Paz. It is a great organization and you can (and should!) read more about their work here:

And of course, as MFG knew already, many hands make light work. We finished in no time at all. I'm sure we got done so fast because Molly the super dog helped out.

That's right, even the dog was participating in the multi-tasking. As for LOST, it was one of the best episodes of the season...but I won't tell you why. Just in case you haven't caught up on the episodes yet.
