Tuesday - Infirmary Day 2 (Mar 4, 2008)

Infirmary Headlines:

The woman who we thought had passed away (Ermina) is actually still alive and residing at the infirmary. She is in not in very good health and seems to have poorly recovered from her broken hip in Feb 2007.

Our relationships with infirmary staff are steadily growing and improving.

We spent several hours at the school where we graded 6th grade journal entries. Tomorrow we anticipate working at the computer lab helping to check which computers are working and which are not.

We had a very good evening tonight - it was better than last night when we felt a little lonesome. We know that the first 24 hours are always an adjustment period though, so we're back in good shape now.

I (Liz) am despising this apparent heat rash which has developed on my arms and fingers. Whenever I think I have contracted something really heinous I remind myself that 1) my ailments aren't that bad when compared to those I work with and visit each morning at the infirmary and 2) anything I might contract can be healed when I get home. That's the blessing - I get to go home.
